Just as the journey to become a butterfly there is a beginning. It is important that we show children the steps in CHANGE that is so very simple. It is vital that children learn about the new birth...and that change.
1.ACKNOWLEDGE-"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23) "God be merciful to me a sinner"(Luke 18:13)
2.REPENT-"Except ye repent, ye will likewise perish"(Luke 13:3)
3.CONFESS-"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9)If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved" (Romans 10:9)
4.BELIEVE-For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him should not perish, but have eternal life"(John 3:16)
5.RECEIVE-"As many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name"(John 1:12)
The children learn by a unique method of teaching called STS. A hands on learning experience that uses the senses. They experience 'changes' by feeling and seeing such changes that happen. In the hike to Pharoah they make mud bricks and see how mud and straw baked within the sun goes through a change. Other hands on learning is used throughout our programs.

Jesus Him self said "I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life, NO ONE comes to the Father, BUT BY ME." (John 14:6)
Let me demonstrate it with this play dough. What color is this? [Red] And what color is this other piece? [Blue] Let's pretend that this blue piece is us. Each of us has a spirit when we are born. It is what makes us a living person. Now this red piece: we'll pretend that it is the Spirit of God. God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins. He shed His blood on the cross for us and rose from the dead three days later. When a person believes this, and asks Jesus to be his Savior, Jesus sends the Holy Spirit to live in that person's heart.
Now look what happens when I start to mix the red and blue together. At first can you tell much has happened? No, God has to work in each persons life to start to make changes. As new Christians we still behave with some of our old habits and ways. But little by little God starts to change us from the inside out. Now I've mixed them together all the way. Now what color do you see? [Purple] Yes, it's a whole new color. Purple is the color of royalty: now you are a child of the King! That's the same way God makes us a new creature. We are not the same person we used to be. We have been born again and are a new creation.
